Bees Learning Tree is an academic childcare and learning center for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. We offer full time, part time, before and after school childcare which is partnered with a monthly curriculum. Job Overview/Summary
We are seeking a Lead Preschool Teacher with a passion for Early Childhood Education. We are looking for a teacher who is experienced with planning and supervising children in accordance with the center policies and guidelines. Maintains a safe, healthy, and educational environment for all children. Communicates regularly with parents, in person and using technology.
The lead teacher ensures children's basic needs, such as nutritional and developmental education, are met. The teacher guides with intellectual and psychological growth of the children. They will also support and supervising children while also motivating them to use their mental capacities and exercise their imagination. In addition, the teacher will keep the classroom environment clean and safe.
We're seeking individuals with a genuine passion for working with children, aiming for a commitment of 1-2 years with our company. Ideal candidates will be tech-savvy, capable or willing to learn how to create lesson plans and engaging activities. Both independent work and teamwork are crucial. Additionally, we value intuitive and creative thinkers with strong communication skills.
Qualifications
· Required – High school diploma or GED.
· Required – Certifications in early childhood development.
· Possesses physical and mental stamina required to oversee large numbers of young children on a daily basis.
· Familiar in using educational technology and software.
· Knowledge or willingness to learn the educational policies, regulations, and standards for the state of Pennsylvania.
· Knowledge or willingness to learn the health and safety regulations pertaining to childcare.
· Required - First Aid and CPR certification.
· Ability to pass all State Mandated background checks and health assessment pertaining to working in a childcare facility.
· Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
· Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
· Understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate activities.
· Is able to think and act quickly in a crisis.
· Cleaning which includes dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, wiping surfaces, toys, restroom cleaning etc.
