Director wanted for a Learning Academy in Mt. Airy Philadelphia.
Director Needs:
-Previous experience managing a center (At least 2 years)
-Must have at least an Associate's Degree in ECE or related field (Bachelor's Degree is Preferred) but the right candidate will be considered with the Associates Degree
Documents needed for the position. Must have:
-Clearances up to date (criminal, FBI and child abuse).
-Child sexual abuse clearance (NSOR)
-Mandated child abuse training and health / safety training
-First Aid / CPR training
-Physical with TB results within the last year
Characteristics Needed for the Position. Must be able to:
-Build positive relationships with staff and parents
-Interact positively with community agencies and state agencies
-Meet critical deadlines
-Multi-task various projects in a given day or week
-Positively market the center to the community
-Lead and mentor staff
Also, be familiar with the details of:
-CACFP
-PA state licensing standards
-ELRC enrollments
-Keystone Stars standards
-Child Development / Child Assessment
