Media-Providence Friends School invites enthusiastic individuals to apply for our Camp Counselor positions. As a Camp Counselor, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the camp experience, fostering positive relationships, and creating a supportive environment where campers can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and lead engaging activities, including arts and crafts, sports, nature exploration, and more.
Supervise and ensure the safety of campers throughout the day.
Mentor and train Counselors-in-Training, providing guidance and support in their roles.
Foster a positive and inclusive camp environment.
Collaborate with fellow counselors and camp leadership.
Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and staff.
Demonstrate flexibility, creativity, and enthusiasm in addressing the needs of campers.
Qualifications:
Availability for at least three of four 2-week camp sessions (details provided in application link).
Experience working with young children, preferably in a camp or youth program setting.
Understanding of child development and positive behavior management techniques.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Passion for working with children and creating meaningful summer experiences.
