BASIC FUNCTION:Responsible for the deployment of freight requirements for customer orders to transport service providers (e.g., truck, rail, pipeline. Ensures a safe, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective process for Petrolia based logistics requirements.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: (functions considered essential as defined by ADA)Evaluates transportation strategies and tactics to ensure customer service support and inventory replenishment, and for transportation linkage between suppliers, plants, and customers.

Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance department effectiveness.

Perform data analytics to identify process enhancements. identify and develop enhancement execution plans.

Accountable for ensuring timely service to our customers while managing costs.

Review and evaluate performance in collaboration with the Network Development Manager.

Liaise with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and other GSC functions to resolve issues / develop opportunities.

Routes outbound assigned transportation vehicle (e.g., rail, truck), tracking and coordinating load utilization and coordinating commercial carrier and company truck activities.

Analyzes integrated inventory and logistic operating and network plan to achieve desired delivery response times while balancing budget and logistic costs.

Monitors and improves OTIF performance.

Leads carrier performance management with support from Global Logistics.

Coordinates inbound and outbound material and equipment transportation and damage and loss claims management.

Maintains and supports all Federal D.O.T. regulations related to private carriers and current Hours of Service enforcement with the driver staff.

Acts as subject matter expert related to transportation third parties for Petrolia.

Back up to colleagues and Manager Transportation.Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their superior, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:Associate's degree in business, technical or related field and/or five year of related work experience.PREFERRED EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management.REQUIRED SKILLS:Exceptional non-authoritative leadership skills.

Proven business acumen in a supply chain environment.

Effective data gathering, analytical and research skills.

Experience with transportation management systems.

Experience advancing various supply chain functions. (Continuous Improvement Mindset)

Knowledge of all Federal D.O.T. Regulations

Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving acumen.

Intermediate to advanced computer skills particularly in MS Excel

Ability to read and comprehend policies, procedures, and instructions, maintain accurate records necessary by both company and Federal regulations.

Strong attention to detail.

Advanced communication skills.PREFERRED SKILLS:SAP, TSW, BI, ECC functional/end user experience preferred. Rail track, tracing and billing system experience preferred.WORK CONDITIONS:Office based with up to 10% travel by air and land required. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment, out-of-doors environment, and driver-based environment including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, and rotating equipment. Subject to all weather, temperatures, and varying road conditions. Subject to rotating on-call availability (24/7).PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 25 lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 25 lbs, climbing up to 6ft, perceiving color differences, and wearing personal protective equipment (beards not permitted).
