DESCRIPTION OF WORKAn Aging Care Management Supervisor 2 is responsible for overseeing, supervising, and directing the protective services unit. You will advocate for, protect, and promote a continuum of care designed to assist older adults in leading independent, meaningful, and dignified lives in their own homes and communities for as long as possible. This position assigns staff caseloads and work assignments, provides for the safety of participants and employees, and adheres to all documentation requirements as outlined in the protective services regulations. Verifying protective service reports for accuracy and completion and testifying in court are also required for this role. This is fulfilling opportunity to act as a client advocate in all matters. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

This position participates in a rotating on-call system.

Travel is required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Four years of experience in public or private social work; and a Bachelor's Degree;or

Any equivalent combination of experience and training including successful completion of 12 semester hours of college level courses in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, or other related social sciences.

Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Carbon, Lehigh, Luzerne, Monroe or Schuylkill counties. If no eligible candidates who live within these counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.

Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.

Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
