Part-Time Municipal Maintenance CrewThis position requires a wide variety of work involving but not limited to the maintenance of Orange
Township roads, property, and equipment. This position reports directly to the Road Foreman and in his
absence, the Township Manager or Roadmaster.
Individual must possess a valid PA driver's license.
Individual must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
Individual must be able to follow written and oral directions.
Individual should preferably possess routine knowledge of vehicle and equipment operation methods.
Individual must be able to work outdoors for extended periods of time.
Individual must be able to drive and/or operate vehicles and equipment for an extended period of time.
Individual should be able to operate the Township's small tools and equipment.
Individual must be able to climb ladders.
Individual will be expected to work at least 8 hours per day.
Individual may, on occasion, be asked to work more than 30 hours per week but typically the work week will be limited to 30 hours per week.
Individual will be covered by worker's compensation insurance and any other legally mandated benefits.
Individual must be available occasional nights and weekends for emergencies and snow removal.
Individual must be self-motivated and able to work with little to no supervision.
Examples of Work:
Manual labor.
Operate Township heavy equipment and vehicles.
Paving and patching roads and related work.
Cleaning clogged road drains.
Snow plowing.
Routine and preventative maintenance of Township vehicles and equipment.
Mowing grass and related work.
Chainsaw downed trees and cleanup work associated.
Additional duties may be assigned from time to time.
