In the role of Senior Transactional Attorney ("Attorney"), you will be responsible for working with numerous SEI business teams and other members of the Legal, Compliance, and Corporate Development Business Unit to structure, draft, negotiate and manage the execution of commercial contracts on behalf of the SEI group of companies. You will manage various types of complex commercial arrangements (e.g. administration agreements, master services agreements, confidentiality agreements, software licenses, SaaS agreements, business process outsourcing agreements, and software development agreements) with customers to ensure consistency with SEI's risk and governance structures, contractual commitments and regulatory compliance obligations and review the work of junior attorneys on the team.You will work closely with internal product and operations teams, new business development teams, client relationship teams, and executives in various business and competency units to support their efforts while also ensuring such parties' adherence to applicable standards and procedures. In addition, you will deal directly with third parties while representing SEI's interests. Familiarity with the financial services industry, including experience with pooled investment vehicles and/or private banking/wealth management will be a strong differentiator for potential candidates. Experience with technology transfer transactions and related issues is a preferred qualification but not required.What you will do:Work with counterparts from other spheres within the Legal & Compliance department to share information and support broader Legal & Compliance department initiatives as well as business unit needsCreate/maintain contract templates used for customer relationshipsResponsible for documenting, educating others on, and working with management to define/refine corporate standards we apply to customer contractsDirect involvement in the most complex/highest risk customer relationshipsInvestigating and resolving disputes arising in connection with SEI's relationships with clients and third party service providers;Educating internal clients with respect to the positions and issues that arise during contractual negotiations;Working with internal clients to solve legal, risk and business issues that arise in commercial transactions;Understanding and applying regulatory changes to new and existing contracts;Managing and prioritizing multiple concurrent projects;Assisting with policy and procedure drafting and review.What we need from you:
