Here is what you will be doing:

Ability to understand each customer’s distinct needs and serve those needs

Monitoring inventory levels and communicating daily movements needed to keep our inventory moving at the optimal level for peak production

General Maintenance of the facility

Availablility to work weekends and holidays on an as needed basis. (operation is open 5 day a week) M-F

Occasional travel as required

Understands and implements the Savage S7 Delivery System

Understands financial aspect of the Savage System (Budget, Projections, Dailies, & Variances)

Understands and implements the Savage Safety Program

“Hands-on”, hard-working, self-starting Manager

Ability to lead a team

Ensure procedures and policies are followed by all terminal Team Members

Ability to provide leadership to each Team Member by teaching and training them in the following areas:

Communication (good interpersonal skills)

Team Building and Team Member Training

Problem Solving and Decision Making

Ability to multi task

Ability to work with Govements Agencies, Facility, Permitting, Safety and Environmental Compliance

Compliance with Operational Processes and Procedures

Maintenance Planning and Completion

Professionalism and Cleanliness

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors

Aptitude and proficiency for computer operations

Has a sound understanding of transportation and transloading hazardous materials

Understand railroad operations and safety

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to plan, control and organize operation to meet each customer’s unique requirements and to maximize effectiveness

Education/Experience

Minimum of 2 years of college education preferred

Equipment operation and maintenance experience

Experience with leading a diverse group of people

Physical Requirements

Hands on position working alongside team

Ability to work at heights

Physically able to climb up and down railcars/ladders safely

Willing to receive hazardous material handling training & general safety training

Ability to work outside in all weather conditions

Willing to work with liquid hazardous materials

Can carry at least fifty (50) pounds

In good physical condition (able to walk one (1) to two (2) miles per shift)
