RESPONSIBILITIESInSite Chemists perform a wide range of tasks, including:

Making waste pickups at labs as needed;

Packaging and labeling waste products and other materials;

Identifying unknown chemicals when they are encountered;

Performing inspections of staging, accumulating, and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance;

Collect, segregate, and properly package waste chemicals for efficient and compliant disposal;

Overall quality control of waste materials being stored and shipped;

Completing required manifests and tracking paperwork;

Utilizing CHOICE waste management software to efficiently and accurately manage waste programs.

This position is an entry level role, but many of our leaders started in this job! With safety as our top priority, you'll get the training and support to not only succeed at your job but advance your career.Essential Functions/Responsibilities: Make chemical pickups throughout customer facility as directed. Conduct chemical bulking/consolidation as required. Responsible for proper packaging of waste to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance. Ensure work area maintained in a neat and orderly manner. Participate in spill response on customer’s site as needed. Attend all compliance and safety update meetings. Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance. Operate forklift in a safe manner. Responsible for the safe loading and unloading of waste hauling vehicles. Conduct waste stream sampling and profiling as necessary.Other Duties as AssignedQUALIFICATIONSWhat does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

High School diploma;

Valid driver’s license;

Hold or willing to obtain a CDL Class B;

Prior chemical handling experience or chemistry knowledge preferred;

Must be able to complete/pass a background check, drug test, and physical.
