Material Handler

Role DescriptionThe Material Handler is responsible for safely carrying out the work assignments received from the Distribution Center Manager or Lead. Cut and handle rope for shipment or fabrication according to specifications. Operate rewinding machines, spool, and coil various sizes of rope and strand to meet customer orders.Conduct quality inspections on rope, collaborating with others to load and unload trucks, and assemble reels.Prepare reels and coils for shipment, including labeling, tagging, and completing shipping documentation.Manage strand and wire rope of varying diameters and lengths on reels or in coils, including empty or unassembled reels, paper lagging strips, tags, seizing wire, blocking, and thimbles.Use tools like saws, lasers, and presses to cut or shape materials to required dimensions.Assemble parts using techniques like welding, bolting, or riveting to ensure proper construction.Select and prepare materials - metals, plastics, composites - for the fabrication, coating, or surface enhancement (e.g., painting, polishing). 1st shift, 7:00am to 3:00pm M-F, OT available     Starting pay $21/hour+ Monthly incentive payments after 90-day probationary period
