Quality Process Chemist

Avery Dennison is hiring a Process Chemist with experience in polymerization and analytical skills to support our production team in Mill Hall, Pennsylvania.  Reporting to the Technical Manager, this scientist will support the production of acrylic polymers for the global adhesive market. You will assist in the development of new products, trouble shoot production issues, address customer issues, and be the process chemistry expert.  Representative ActivitiesConduct hands-on lab scale polymerizations and formulated prototypes of adhesives and coatingsSetup and conduct experiments, perform relevant application and analytical testing in the laboratoryTranslate new product requirements to manufacturing capabilitySupport the introduction and qualification of new products and new raw materialsAssist in the troubleshooting of process upsets, and product-related issues at the customerAssist in root cause analysis of upset conditionsDesign and conduct lab scale experiments for process improvements in the plantCoach technician and lab support colleagues to assist in their development
