Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Representative I

Job Description Seeking an Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Representative I to ensure transactional excellence related to Accounts Receivable, standardization on invoice processing and collection. Identify opportunities to optimize processes and eliminate process inefficiencies and redundancies. This is an entry level role.They will partner with a broad number of external and internal business partners, such as Customers, Customer Excellence, Quality, Accounting, Compliance & Audit. The focus is on driving day to day collections activities to achieve collection efficiency, percent past due, DSO and bad debt goals.What you will do: · Collect invoices (Pre-call/prepare/send statements with current invoices), call on past due invoices, problem solve disputes with the customer and sales team.· Perform customer maintenance per limits of authority as the need arises.· Provide payment information to customers and arrange payments for current and past due invoices.· Input invoices into portals as required.· Input vendor invoices into accounting system for payment.· Collaborate closely with internal and external auditors, prepare audit schedules and ensure compliance to SOX and statutory requirements.· Other related duties as required and/or assignedHow you will get here: Education· High School Diploma or equivalentExperience · 1-2 years of experience or Relevant working experienceKnowledge, Skills, Abilities · Ability to quickly learn organization specific computer applications, ability to learn accounting principles· Good spoken and written communication skills are required to collaborate with various partners· Microsoft Excel skills (intermediate requirement)· High attention to detail and accuracy as data entry is a critical component of roleTravel Requirements · < 0%At Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 90,000 extraordinary minds has a unique story to tell.
