Select Medical is seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team and drive continued national growth as a Vice President of Real Estate. In this role, the candidate will play a critical role in the development and construction of new facilities across the country according to the company's strategic growth initiatives. Additionally, the candidate will have responsibility for overseeing all aspects of the organization's real estate strategy and development, including design and construction, project management, facility ongoing maintenance and repair, and the related budgetary processes within the projects. The Vice President will lead a team of internal and external skilled real estate professionals to drive the successful execution of real estate and construction initiatives. This position will be based at Select's corporate headquarters in Mechanicsburg, PA.ResponsibilitiesThe Vice President of Real Estate will play a key role in Planning and Design, construction and Real Estate Management for Select Medical.Planning & Design:

Lead all phases of development projects, including site selection, due diligence, entitlements, design, financing, and construction

Oversee the preparation of project plans, specifications and construction documents to ensure compliance with company, industry and code standards.

Monitor and review construction project progress, resolve any issues or conflicts that arise to ensure timing delivery of projects within approved guidelines and parameters.

Prepare and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and optimize financial performance throughout the development lifecycle.

Construction:

Manage all aspects of the construction process from project initiation to completed delivery of de novo facilities while ensuring adherence to established budgets and timelines.

Coordinate and provide input to architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers and other vendors to ensure the availability of necessary resources, materials for the projects and scope budgets, along with time schedules, are maintained.

Conduct regular project site visits and inspections, along with participating in design and construction update meetings, to comply with regulatory body standards, safety protocols, schedules, and budget.

Real Estate Management:

Participate with development team on new projects.

Mentor, manage, and lead a high-performing team of development professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.QualificationsRequired:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in Construction, Planning and Design, and Project Management with a proven track-record of successfully overseeing multiple complex projects.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering Sciences, Construction Management, or related field required.

Hospital and health system background required with project or construction management experience.

Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and mentor a multi-disciplined team.

Demonstrated financial and development acumen, including meeting budget and understanding the financial impacts of actions and decisions.

Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple projects.

Experience working with operations and clinical staff.

Experience with and understanding of the pre-construction process, including zoning, drawings, construction, financial and pro forma processes, and operational layout.

Understanding of mechanical systems.

Must be able to skillfully conceptualize, analyze and evaluate data to provide direction and make informed decisions.

Ability to communicate verbally and written to all levels of the organization.

Knowledge of and ability to work wi h Outlook, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and CAD.

Must have the ability to travel as needed.

Must work out of the corporate office in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Preferred:

Masters degree preferred.
