Job Title: Operator/ LaborerOverview: Suit-Kote Corporation, a leading Asphalt products manufacturer, road construction and maintenance and asphalt application engineering company is seeking candidates for Operator/Laborers. The Operator is responsible to set up, maintain and operate various pieces of equipment. The ideal candidate is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards.Safety Expectations: All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit- Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others.Responsibilities/Job Duties:
Be able to operate multiple pieces of equipment (Loader, broom, roller, etc.)
Have the ability and willingness to dig, spread and level construction materials with a shovel
Work with others to help complete tasks in a timely manner
Basic troubleshooting
Required Skills/Abilities:
Reliable transportation to and from work site
Strong work ethic
Physical Organization and time management
Flexibility in hours overtime and weekend hours may be necessary
Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conducted
Consent to a DMV license evaluation
Must have or be willing to obtain an OSHA 10 Hour Safety Certificate
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Observe and comply with necessary PPE requirements
Must be able to work in a noisy area with many odors present
Bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling and squatting
Other Preferred Qualities:
Ability to read and understand SDS
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
High school diploma or GED a two year technical degree is preferred
Basic math skills
