Provides expertise on model governance to shape programs and initiatives at the enterprise level that enable consistent use of model risk management best practices across all models used at Vanguard including AI/ML models. Supports the advancement of model governance standards, policies, and processes. Develops strategies for model control standards, lifecycle management, inventory, assessment, and monitoring. Creates and develops model risk tiering methodologies, model risk appetite metrics, assists in preparing content for model risk reporting to senior management and presentations as needed.Core Responsibilities/ Qualifications• Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Mathematics/ Statistics, Physics, Engineering) or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Masters degree preferred• 5-8 years of previous experience in model risk management (model governance, model inventory, model risk reporting, validation, etc.) in the Financial Services Industry is a must• Experience with Microsoft tools (Excel VBA, PowerPoint, Teams, Project Planner, etc.) required.• AI/ML modeling experience and managing risk of AI/ML models is a plus• Broad knowledge of risk management at financial institutions preferred• Excellent communication, negotiation, diplomacy, and presentation skills• Ability to deal effectively with a variety of stakeholder teams• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python is a plus• Knowledge of AWS Sagemaker, Domino or other ModelOps platforms is a plus• Knowledge of Tableau or other BI reporting tools is a plusContact: This job and many more are available through The Judge Group.
