Job title:The Distribution Supervisor will provide floor leadership and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the production department. He/she will conduct all supervisory responsibilities concerning the hiring, training, counseling and discipline, performance appraisal, and assigning and prioritizing all work for subordinates. He/she will ensure all devices within the department are processed accurately according to shipping demand and maintain a high level of quality. He/she will communicate effectively by providing an appropriate environment; implementing policies, and procedures, and recommending improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and work conditions.Your role:
Direct daily/weekly staffing requirements in order to control overtime costs
Communicate with Distribution Team involving daily activities to maintain efficient operations
Lead team meetings or “huddles” where appropriate to provide operational direction and departmental/company communications
Identify and resolve problems by creating a formal improvement process as a result; raise to senior management where appropriate
Develop and execute project improvement initiatives set by senior leadership
Provide direction and delegate work assignments
Perform all Distribution Technician functions based upon the needs of the operation
Responsible for cost containment with respect to labor, shipping, inventory, etc
Ensure all established inventory levels are met
Provide consistent individual feedback to Distribution Technicians and Leads as a means of developing their skill sets
Ensuring compliance with all company policies
Keeping accurate timekeeping records
Provide support to all internal and external customers

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
3+ years’ experience working in a product testing, inspection, order processing, shipping, and inventory control environments with 2+ years in a supervisor capacity, preferred
Can perform all functions within the Distribution department
Proficiency in Windows-based applications
Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented and a team player essential
Strong verbal, written communication and customer service skills
