Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Duty Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong diesel mechanic background and be proficient in commercial vehicle diagnostics, ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our fleet vehicles. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and work ethic.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough inspections of fleet vehicles to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Perform vehicle diagnostics to assess vehicle performance and troubleshoot problems effectively.
Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as needed for repairs or replacements.
Execute tire service tasks, including mounting and rotating tires.
Maintain electrical systems and other components of trucks.
Engage in heavy lifting when required to facilitate repairs or maintenance tasks.
Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately to maintain comprehensive records.
Experience
Proven experience as a Fleet Technician or similar role is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle repair and maintenance.
Familiarity with different vehicle systems, air brakes, and automotive diagnostics tools is essential.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
A commitment to safety protocols and best practices in vehicle maintenance is required.
