Chester County Aviation in Coatesville, PA is a busy flight school seeking a full-time chief flight instructor.

Chester County Aviation is a growing flight school with ten aircraft and thirteen flight instructors. The diverse fleet of Cessna, Piper, and Cirrus airplanes are kept in working order by an in-house maintenance shop. Currently a part 61 school but working towards part 141 approval.
Responsibilities:
Manage flight training operations
Promote a strong safety culture
Act as a role model for integrity, professionalism, and honesty
Train, standardize, & supervise flight instructor staff
Continually refine and improve standard operating procedures
Monitor and improve flight training outcomes
Perform oral and flight stage checks with students
Assist with part 141 approval process
Keep up to date on new regulations, best practices, and technologies
Address safety reports within the safety management system
Minimum Qualifications:
Pilot License: Commercial Pilot ASEL
FAA Medical: 3rd Class
Flight Instructor: Airplane Single Engine & Instrument Airplane
Flight Instruction: 500 hours dual given & 2 years of experience
Leadership: Demonstrated leadership experience
Airframes: Experience in Piper PA28 & Cessna 172
Knowledge: Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and guidance
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Pilot License: Commercial Pilot ASEL & AMEL
FAA Medical: 2nd Class
Flight Instructor: Airplane Single & Multi Engine; Instrument Airplane
Flight Instruction: 1500 hours dual given & 3 years of experience
Leadership: Previous management experience
Airframes: Multiple airframes including Piper PA28, Cessna 172, & Cirrus
