It's all here and it’s exactly what going further is all about.Under the general supervision of the Truckload Manager, the TL Coordinator is responsible for moving freight for our customers, building and maintaining relationships with carriers to effectively negotiate rates, track shipments, proactively identify problems and implement solutions. This is a fast-paced role, which involves a great deal of multi-tasking, problem solving and communication.Responsibilities: Negotiates pricing agreements with carriers. Plans and coordinates pick-up and delivery schedules. Identifies and contacts qualified carriers for freight services. Maintains strong relationship with multiple carriers. Tracks and reports shipment status to customers. Manages multiple deliveries and processes spot requests. Resolves freight discrepancies in a timely manner. Responds to customer concerns and queries professionally. Maintains a positive and productive relationship with customers. Updates Transportation Management System(s). Performs other duties as assigned.Preferred Qualifications: Associates Degree in Business, Transportation or equivalent 1-3 years of experience in logistics, customer service, or transportation Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to analyze and solve problems independently Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Must be computer literate and comfortable using multiple applicationsBenefitsAt Saia, your success is our success!
