Safety Specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:·         Conduct audits of laboratories and common spaces.·         Conduct sampling and perform equipment inspections to ensure worker safety.·         Review laboratory processes and testing samples for categorization.·         Train employees on best practices for safety.·         Respond to medical emergencies and chemical spills.·         Conduct ergonomic assessments of workstations and working practices.·         Ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA and DOL standards.
