Machine OperatorJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a 2nd Shift Machine Operator This role involves working from Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM to 12:30 AM, with the possibility of overtime as needed.Responsibilities
Coordinate rerolling activities to prioritize jobs and meet on-time shipment goals.
Maximize resource efficiency and assist with quality checks.
Perform ERP transactions and coordinate breaks to eliminate downtime.
Ensure adherence to daily work instructions and provide direction to Reroller Operators and Assistants.
Oversee and ensure the timely and complete execution of on-the-job training for Reroller Operators and Assistants.
Attend departmental, production, safety, and company meetings routinely.
Work across all rerolling resources to meet a 99% on-time shipment target.
Combine released orders to improve operational efficiency.
Pre-stage material for rerollers and ensure operators are trained in and perform required safety and quality checks.
Ensure timely completion of OJT checklists for Operators and Assistants.
Verify that the area is restocked at the end of the shift and correct data entry errors as needed.
Operate machines with minimal supervision to reroll material.
Conduct visual inspections and perform general preventive maintenance of the assigned machine.
Set machines to run required thickness to ordered length, power on machines, and feed peeled material through machines.
Fulfill orders according to production order roll length, plastic wrap finished rolls as required, and place scrap material in regrind bin or dumpster.
Essential Skills
1+ years of manufacturing experience.
Experience in machine operation, including sit-down forklift and general labor tasks.
Ability to perform basic math functions.
Fluency in English.
