Accountant

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accountant in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This role is primarily focused on credit clerk duties within the telecom provider industry. The successful candidate will handle customer credit applications, maintain customer credit records, and monitor customer credit accounts to ensure efficient operations. Responsibilities: Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring all information is correctly entered into our accounting software systems. Maintain detailed records of customer credit accounts, using ERP solutions to manage and update information as required. Utilize Great Plains (GPAC) to monitor customer credit accounts regularly, identifying any issues or discrepancies that need attention. Follow up on delinquent payments, engaging with customers as necessary to arrange payment and maintain good client relationships. Utilize knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) to ensure all credit-related transactions are correctly recorded and reconciled. Perform regular auditing of customer credit accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures. Participate in budget processes, using your understanding of accounting functions to contribute to accurate financial forecasting. Use ADP - Financial Services to manage and process any credit-related financial transactions. Prepare annual tax documents relating to customer credit accounts, ensuring all information is accurate and compliant with tax regulations. Utilize ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems to streamline and automate credit management processes.
