Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), SysML, and Cameo Systems Modeler for developing new products is preferred
Implement MBSE principles for system requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation activities beginning with the conceptual design, continuing throughout the development and life cycle of the project
Agile Product Development experience is key to performing in this role. Experience as a Scrum Master is preferred
Lead and mentor a group of engineers on a system definition/development activity and completing design tasks on time and within budget
Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems, or subsystems
Review customer specifications and requirements, and develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable
Provide budget, cost, and schedule input for design assignments
Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services
Drive the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements
Develop prototypes to retire key development risks
Provide technical expertise and assistance to other engineers, support personnel, and the customer
Participate heavily in preparation of complex and significant proposals
Provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel
Attend appropriate engineering, customer, or business meetings
Lead less-experienced engineers
Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of experience
Fluency in technologies and application domain
Ability to lead a technical group independently
