Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Full-time Parcel Freight Lead, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the Parcel Freight department. You will help facilitate the movement of product throughout our distribution center to company owned branches. You will be responsible for packaging, manifesting and shipping customer orders via a 3rd party carrier. You will provide guidance to ensure operations are completed correctly, efficiently and on time. The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Leading and training team members
o Communicating with employees and branches
o Packaging, manifesting and shipping customers orders
o Weighing, sorting and stacking product
o Using a computer to perform tasks
o Maintain the cleanliness/organization of work area
o Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
o Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
o Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainingsREQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
o Proficient written and oral communication skills
o Knowledge of computer operations, including oper1, WMS and Microsoft Office Applications
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
o Lead and motivate a team of employees
o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
o Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed
o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
o Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY)
o Successfully pass a post offer pre-employment drug screen, background check, and previous employment verification, required by a customer/contract serviced by this locationABOUT US:
