Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 6:00am - 2:30pmOVERVIEW:
Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Full-time Maintenance, you will perform a wide variety of duties related to the maintenance and repair of our facilities, equipment and fixtures in production. This position will be based out of our distribution center located in Jessup, PA. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Performing preventative maintenance on conveyors, motors and gears
o Responding to verbal or written requests in regards to repairs or maintenance on production equipment
o Troubleshooting malfunctions to hydraulic and electric machinery
o Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of work area
o Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
o Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
o Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainingsREQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o 18 years of age or over, due to the nature of work
o Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
o Proficient written and oral communication skills
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Work independently as well as in a team environment
o Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed
o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
o Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
o Willingness to be frequently bending/reaching/stooping as well as constantly walking/standing/climbing
o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
o Successfully pass a post offer pre-employment drug screen, background check, and previous employment verification, required by a customer/contract serviced by this locationPREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Possess prior maintenance or mechanical experience
o Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
o Previous electrical experience
