Come experience our collaborative work environment and excellent benefits package, apply today!DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Fiscal Technician for the Wayne County MH/ID, you will analyze and interpret accounting records and methods and input a variety of accounting transactions into our digital accounting program. We work in a collaborative environment and are upgrading some of our programs, so you will assist in the process of moving to a new general ledger bookkeeping computer application. In addition, you will be responsible for payroll, which includes salary and fringe processing and allocation, as well as monthly reconciliations.Auditing is a key component of our division, and you will be tasked with assisting with preparing for agency audits, maintaining the departmental budget and expense spreadsheets, preparing agency invoices and vouchers, and reviewing for mathematical accuracy and accurate reflection of contracted amounts for services reimbursed. Those tasks require importing files from several databases and websites into our internal trackers for payment processing and coding expenses.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or

Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or

One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or

Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Lackawanna, Monroe, Pike, Susquehanna, or Wayne counties. If no eligible candidates who live within these counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.

A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
