We craft and manufacture across the entire spectrum of rolling stock, including commuter and regional passenger trains, light rail and streetcars, metros, locomotives, passenger coaches, and high-speed trainsets. Cities and Railroads also rely on us to provide traction-power substations and electricity transmission, as well as signaling and control technology for freight and passenger rail and transit systems.How does Software Development play into the big picture?The Software Development Department designs and develops software for onboard safety and signaling equipment. The developed software interacts with discrete I/O signals, speed sensors, communication links, and display devices. Our group works with Systems and Electrical Engineers to design the products that are used to help keep the trains operating in a safe manner, including overspeed protection.
