The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Hematology/Oncology Lab, in Hershey, PAis seekingis seeking an innovative and highly driven Researcher or Assistant Professor (Non-Tenure Track) who will work in epigenetics and transcriptional regulation in leukemia. The successful applicant will conduct cutting edge research in the regulation of gene expression in leukemia. Research in the Dovat lab uses molecular and cellular biology techniques including qRT-PCR, quantitative chromatin immunoprecipitation (qChIP), ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, CUT & TAG, retroviral and lentiviral production, transfection, luciferase reporter assay, tissue culture, cloning, DNA and RNA isolation, Western blot, protein purification, flow cytometry, as well as isolation of hematopoietic cells from mouse bone marrow and spleen. This position will also supervise postdoctoral fellows and graduate and medical students within the lab.The Penn State College of Medicine is located in Hershey, PA, near the state capital of Harrisburg. Large metropolitan areas are within a few hours of driving, such as Philadelphia (1.5 hours), Baltimore (1.5 hours), New York City (2.5 hours), Washington DC (2.5 hours), and Pittsburgh (3.5 hours).
