Description We are currently seeking a highly skilled Tax Specialist to join our dynamic accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and accounting principles, and excellent analytical skills. The Tax Specialist will be responsible for preparing tax returns, analyzing tax regulations, monitoring industry trends, and completing tax reports. The professional should also possess excellent communication skills necessary to communicate complex taxation concepts to individuals from a non-financial background.Responsibilities:

Prepare various types of tax returns including corporate, partnership, and individual income tax returns, quarterly tax estimates, and property tax returns.

Conduct tax research and planning to maximize tax benefits and compliance with the law.

Review business financial documents and receipts.

Provide advice on the impact of new or revised tax laws and their possible implications.

Strategize with clients on tax planning and projections.

Work closely with auditing staff to provide support during audits.

Ensure all company tax documentation is in order and securely stored.

Assist with internal and external tax audits and resolution of tax issues.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and tax law changes.

Comply with all state and federal regulations for professional work and conduct.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a similar role.

Profound knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.

Excellent understanding of tax law and statutory regulations.

Strong numerical and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and tax preparation software.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.

Ability to deliver results under deadlines.
