Qualifications:
Be 18 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED
Prerequisites
Current Act 33, Act 34, and FBI Clearances
Physical Exam and Mantoux
Medication Administration Trained
Fire Safety Trained
First Aide/CPR with one (1) year
Orientation to house completed
Valid Drivers License
Requirements
Able to lift and assist with all transferring needs
Able to assist ina two person lift
Able to go up and down stairs at set locations
Responsibilities
Provide 24 hour awake staff support for individuals with intellectual disabilities
Provide necessary assistance in bathing, dressing, toileting, and hygiene
Assist in meal preparation and grocery shopping. Providing ample opportunity for choice. (According to the needs of the individual.)
Assist in household chores (i.e. vacuuming, dishes, sweep/mop floors, laundry, general housekeeping)
Assist individual in taking medication prescribed by doctor, according to the Department of Public Welfare guidelines on medication administration.
Assist individual(s) in all areas of personal and self care skills, as indication by the Individual Support Plan.
Review ISP with supervisor to ensure full understanding of outcomes and implementation plans
Assist individual with going shopping as desired.
Report all medical, behavioral, or other concerns to Residential Program Supervisor, Director, ad other house staff.
Community Involvement
Ensure that individual(s) daily needs are met while away from home by preparing the needed items to take with the individual as measured by availability.
Assist the individual(s) in making choices regarding how to spend his/her day.
