In the role of a Technical Assistant, your responsibilities will include conducting inspections throughout various stages of transportation construction projects. You will also be involved in verifying grades, elevations, structure stake-out, and roadway stake-out in collaboration with contractors or surveyors. Additionally, you will assist in the completion of necessary documents and review the work performed by contractors. As part of the inspection team, you will actively engage with department staff, federal, state, and local agencies, legislators, and the general public to ensure the smooth administration of transportation construction projects. Furthermore, you will contribute to the production of reports as required, interpreting the results to monitor progress and adhere to the schedule. Lastly, you will be responsible for tracking and verifying material quantities and testing, utilizing either manual or computerized methods.Interested in learning more? Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
This is a vendor-controlled position, with flex schedule

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Graduation from high school; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
This particular position also requires a valid Class C driver's license which is not under suspension.
