If so, the Federal Surplus Property Division is seeking a candidate who possesses strong attention to detail and inventory management experience to join the team as a Surplus Property Agent. As a Surplus Property Agent, you will locate, evaluate, and distribute federal surplus property to eligible recipients while remaining in compliance with federal and state regulations, the state plan of operation, instructions, and operating procedures. You will visit federal installations to screen surplus property, as well as property reported in federal publications, databases, and other special situations relating to property. Physical screenings may involve exposure to hazardous substances or conditions unknowingly existent at screening sites.This may include traveling to retrieve and deliver property, participating in annual inventory, and preparing non-donable and expired property for sale or disposal. Within this role, you will safely operate various types of vehicles and warehouse equipment to retrieve and deliver requested property and other related warehouse items. You will also be responsible for maintaining a high level of public relations with federal agencies, donee institutions, and various levels of management within the Commonwealth.Interested in learning more? Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

This position is considered an essential employee, meaning you may be required to report to work during office closings and emergency situations.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Three years of experience in marketing, distribution, purchasing, maintenance, supply or warehousing and inventory control of a wide variety of materials and equipment.Necessary Special Requirements:

You must possess a valid operator's license as issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.Additional Requirements:

You must possess at least two years of experience operating a box truck, forklift, and pallet jack.

You must possess at least three years of inventory management experience.

You must possess at least two years of experience using computer programs and databases.

You must be able to travel in and out of state, including overnight stays.

You must possess at least three years of warehousing experience.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.Preferred Qualifications (not required):
