Description Robert Half is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Staff Accountant to partner with our client. This position is with a large entity with opportunity to grow. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and analyzing variances.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, including variance analysis and trend identification.
Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
Assist with external audits and provide support to auditors as needed.
Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and deadlines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Microsoft Excel and accounting software experience
