ResponsibilitiesDescription of Position: Plan, direct and coordinate The Salvation Army Harrisburg Capital City Region programs and services including oversight of all programs, services, contracts, budgets, and reporting. Duties and responsibilities include the formulating and implementing local and Eastern Territory policy and procedure, managing daily programs and services, planning the use of materials and human resources. Collaborate with the Resource Development Department in the development and management of all program/service budgets, reports, contracts, and funding proposals. Oversee the development and maintenance of partnerships and build collaborations within the greater Harrisburg program/service area. Assist in the development and presentation of written and oral presentations to include proposals to fund programs through United Way and local grants and foundations. The afore-mentioned job function will be performed in keeping with the Mission of The Salvation Army. Other duties as assigned. QualificationsRequirements:

Master’s degree and bachelor’s degree in related fields, i.e. personnel management, businessa dministration, social program development. At minimum two years of successful work experience managing multi-function work groups may be substituted for a master’s degree.

Minimum of four years of work-related skill, or experience.

Leadership training and a minimum of 3 years of direct supervisory experience of multiple staff to include supervision of both exempt and nonexempt employees, to include supervisory level employees as well as line-level workers.

Should be self-motivated, exhibit strong init iative and strong time management skills.

Must have good organizational and interpersonal skills.

Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment but also able to work independently.

Knowledge of cultural flexibility, competency in working with multi-cultural participants and experience working with inner-city families and individuals.

Able to multitask with positive results.

Understanding of Cultural Competency and Diversity.

Strong Computer skills required in Microsoft Office.

Prior experience tracking program outcomes and reporting out on results.

Skill in presenting information verbally and in written formats.

Must be able to adapt and change to meet the needs of the organization and the community.

Prior database experience required.

Prior experience in managing public funds and grants.

Valid Driver's License and able to obtain insurance clearances as determined by The Salvation Army's insurance company.

As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153.

Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.

CPR/First Aid Certifications
