THE POSITIONBring your clerical skills to the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP)! Our team in the Transportation Division is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join us as a Management Technician. In this position, you will help us ensure our automotive fleet operations run smoothly. If you want to apply your clerical skills in a new way, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Management Technician, you will provide administrative and operational support within the division to ensure the fleet operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. Your duties include serving as an administrator and point of contact for area troops and stations for the inventory system that tracks the PSP automotive fleet. You will enter service and preventative maintenance records for all vehicles that fall within your assigned area. You can expect to receive and review vendor repair estimates, determine necessity and cost of repairs and services, enter all vehicle repair information into the database, and process vehicles for disposition and auction pick up.Interested in learning more? Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Three years of advanced clerical or para-professional work which included the collection, recording, compilation, and presentation of office management or program related information; or

Any equivalent combination of experience and training. An Associate's Degree may be substituted for two years of required experience.Additional Requirements:

You must possess a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.Preferred Qualifications (not required):

At least two (2) years of experience using AssetWorks M5 or an equivalent fleet management system.

At least two (2) years of experience reviewing vendor estimates for body and mechanical repair.

At least two (2) years of customer service experience.Legal Requirements:

You must pass criminal history and background investigations if you do not have a current Pennsylvania State Police background on file.How to Apply:
