Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED.
Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years experience in a maintenance department in a health-related Facility
Must be knowledgeable of HVAC practices and procedures in nursing care facilities
Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.
Responsibilities of the HVAC Technician:
Install, service, modify, troubleshoot, rebuild, and repair HVAC systems and equipment in a residential establishment in accordance with applicable building codes and safety regulations
Troubleshoot, repair, modify, or replace Power, and/or control wiring/circuit
Must be able to troubleshoot electronic controls, possess electrical knowledge, and have plumbing knowledge of both water and steam systems
Manage repair costs while minimizing inefficiencies
Monitors HVAC systems and operations and ensures that routine preventive maintenance is performed according to established schedules and standards
Checks, repairs and/or replaces valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, pipes and other functional components of the system
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work
