The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) is a quasi-independent agency that is seeking a Human Resource Assistant 2 to provide a variety of technical Human Resource (HR) support services within our HR office. If you are ready for a challenging, yet rewarding career path, we look forward to meeting you!DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Human Resource Assistant 2, you will be responsible for a variety of HR and administrative support functions which are essential to ensure efficient operations throughout the PFCB. Specific duties include monitoring and managing the personnel action request (EPAR) resource account mailbox, verifying correct usage, and directing EPARs to the appropriate entity for timely processing. You will also act as the electronic official personal file (e-OPF) coordinator for the agency, which involves receiving, scanning, creating, and uploading documents into e-OPFs.

Organization is key, as you will also ensure proper payroll processing based on knowledge and analysis of union contracts, local agreements, management directives, absence program manual, personnel rules, and other relative policies and procedures. You will process wage advancements, input employee schedule changes, prepare quota balance reports as necessary, and resolve and time and attendance errors. You will also engage in various administrative support tasks such as answering and directing calls, maintaining paper and electronic files, and preparing various correspondence and training materials.

Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work hours are flexible.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will have to report to the office three days in the week to start, but potentially two days. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience as a Human Resource Assistant 1; orTwo years of clerical or other comparable experience, one year of which involved performance of limited technical duties in the field of human resource work; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:
