DESCRIPTION OF WORKYou will thrive in this position if you work well independently, are reliable, tech savvy, and a creative thinker who can easily adapt in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. No day is the same here in the Governor's Executive Office, some of the duties will include:

Greeting the public when visiting the reception room and answering questions about the space, as well as greeting attendees for meetings with the Governor and executive staff.

Completing constituent request inquiry forms, gift logs, and coordinating the storage of gifts.

Managing the office conference room calendars, including reviewing availability and confirming requests, as appropriate. You will also coordinate use of the facility and audio-visual needs for reception room events.

Conducting research using various online media outlets to identify, track, and share relevant news stories to share with the Governor's executive staff.

Assist the Governor's Scheduling Office and the Governor's Special Assistant with logging, scheduling, mailing, and preparation.

Cataloging constituent correspondence and filing accordingly. This includes implementation of retention schedules and record destruction.Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.

This is an on-site career opportunity, with an in-person reporting requirement Monday - Friday.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent, with at least two years of prior administrative or clerical experience in a professional office environment; or

Any other equivalent experience and training.Additional Requirements:

You must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMs, OneDrive, SharePoint)

You must have experience with organization and multi-tasking in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

You must have experience in time management and communication skills.

You must be willing to learn and to grow with the organization.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.Preferred Qualifications (not required):Pursuing a political science or related degree, and be interested in governmentLegal Requirements:You must pass a background investigation.How to Apply:
