Position Summary:The Teacher Aide will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of daily activity plans. The Teacher Aide will also provide an environment that is structured, inviting and fun that Foster's children's social, emotional, spiritual, and mental growth.Essential Functions:
Responsible for assisting in the implementation of daily program activities.
Acts as a role model for the children and other staff at all times.
Responsible for general safety of the children.
Attends all mandatory training before school year and during school year.
Work Kids Day Outs during the course of the school year.
Other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to: cooking, cleaning, follow-through with care and safety of children and staff.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or a general education development certificate.
At least eighteen years of age,
Criminal clearances (Act 33), Child Abuse clearances (Act 34), FBI Clearances,
Non-communicable diseases physical exam every two years,
TB test by the Mantoux method once upon hire, and onsite drug test.
Two letters of recommendation on file.
Must complete all required YMCA training certifications.
