As a County Social Worker 1, you will conduct individual assessments of the independent living needs of eligible children and develop independent living case plans based on those assessments. This position also provides services related to education and vocational training both individually and during workshops as well as programs and services in basic living skills. Individual and group counseling, workshops, and conferences are also conducted to promote youths' preparation for transition to independence and termination from substitute care. Counseling and support services are provided for youth throughout the emancipation from Children and Youth and the onset of independence.Attention to detail is essential for follow-up and documentation for the youths' particular financial case plan needs, monthly and quarterly reports and analysis, and preparation for and provision of testimony at each case's court reviews. Through coordination with other agency staff, consistent follow-ups on referrals, and other duties as assigned, you will see the children you support grow and gain independence. Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
