Administrative Assistant IIThe Administrative Assistant provides a variety of assistance and support to the office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs and is responsible for broad, complex, and confidential assignments related to the duties of the VPAA and the office. The Administrative Assistant anticipates the work of the VPAA and provides daily and long-term assistance on various projects and support for initiatives and operations. Key responsibilities include gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information, preparing documents, reports, and presentations, coordinating schedules and activities, and maintaining records and files. The Administrative Assistant will coordinate the general functions of the office.The Administrative Assistant will work with various departments at Pitt Greensburg and the other Pitt campuses on a regular basis. Excellent communication and organization skills are essential to the success of the office.Job SummaryPerforms administrative assistant support work of moderate complexity.Essential FunctionsThe Administrative Assistant must be able to use a computer and keyboard and be able to use video communication technology (Zoom, Teams, etc.). Work is frequently conducted by email, telephone, in person, or using video communication technology. The ability to communicate in a clear and concise fashion is essential. A high level of detail is imperative.
