Description We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive support to a local government organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a willingness to learn local codes, zoning requirements, and other land-use regulations.Responsibilities:

Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate staff members.

Prepare and distribute departmental correspondence, reports, and presentations.

Maintain and organize physical and electronic filing systems.

Assist in the processing of zoning applications, permits, and variances.

Generate reports, charts, and graphs to illustrate zoning trends and patterns.

Serve as the primary point of contact for zoning-related inquiries from the public, developers, and other agencies.

Provide courteous and prompt assistance to individuals seeking information on zoning regulations, processes, and applications.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.

Proven experience in administrative support roles, preferably in a government or municipal setting.

Familiarity with zoning regulations, land use planning, or urban development concepts is advantageous.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
