The Software Engineer: Data & Integrations is a key role focused on the development and continuous improvement of software systems, data pipelines, and third-party SaaS platforms supporting the needs of M3 USA’s clinical trials business, while also contributing as needed to development projects involving M3 USA’s wider group of healthcare-related businesses. This role is ideal for fast-learning, adaptable generalists, who excel at understanding high-level business needs and objectives from non-technical stakeholders and translating them into impactful, flexible, and efficient technical solutions. A wide range of proficiencies in software development, web applications, data engineering, and system integration are key to success, combined with strong collaboration and communication skills, initiative, and a bias to action.Develop, prototype, and maintain web applications and APIs to support critical business functions. Design, implement, and manage data pipelines to integrate and transform data across platforms. Utilize modern cloud technologies and infrastructure-as-code to manage and provision compute resources. Build and deploy APIs to enable seamless integration with internal and external platforms. Manage data warehouses, including schema design, optimization, and data storage, using tools like Snowflake. Implement and maintain data pipelines for integration and transformation, ensuring data quality and freshness. Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure compliance, security, and data integrity. Collaborate with teams on data standardization and enrichment projects to support analytics and reporting. Customize and integrate SaaS and other third-party systems (e.g., Quickbase, Clinical Conductor CTMS, WordPress). Maintain accurate tracking and tagging for web analytics strategies, utilizing tools like GTM and Google Analytics. Support internal systems by implementing monitoring, incident management, and operational reliability processes. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and designers, to create exceptional user experiences. Provide technical guidance, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to code reviews and application design improvements. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into actionable insights. Stay current on emerging technologies, methodologies, and regulatory requirements to drive process and system enhancements. Adopt a DataOps mindset to optimize processes and reduce system maintenance complexity.
