Seeking person to join existing Carer to provide Personal Care to senior male living in his home. Position is flexible regarding both hours & days worked.
FLEXIBLE HOURS Approximately 15-20 hours per week.
DAYS Shifts available include:
Weekday EVENING: approximately 4pm-7pm.
Weekday DAY; approximately 9am-3/4pm.
Ideally 2 Weekends per month; Saturday & Sunday, approximately 10am-6pm.
PAY
$20 per hour following successful completion of 3 month Trial period at $17 per hour.
Private pay and insured W2 employer.
DUTIES INCLUDE
Meal preparation: breakfast & evening meal. Groceries are delivered. Fully equipped kitchen.
Light Housekeeping: clothing & bedding laundry, light bathroom & kitchen cleaning.
Medication Reminders: AM & PM reminders & support.
Personal Hygiene Support: assistance with showering, dressing/clothing changes AM & PM.
Wound Care: training & support provided to perform daily wound dressing changes.
Occasional Transportation: vehicle provided for transportation as necessary.
LOCATION
Private home in McKean, PA; 1 mile from Interstates I-79 and I-90 intersection. Easy access/2 minute drive from either Interstate, 15 minutes from downtown Erie.
Disability Adapted House:
Dual grab bars in bathroom, bedside, stairways.
Shower equipped with elevated Transfer bench, No-slip flooring, dual handrails.
Elevated commode seat with handrails.
CLIENT 91 year old male, retired physician, farmer, life-long carer, friendly.
Mobility: Independently mobilizes using rolling Walker, independently transfers on/off commode, able to negotiate stairs, independent vehicle transfers with assistance.
Cognition & Memory: within normal limits.
Vision & Hearing: within normal limits.
NO chronic bowel incontinence.
Intermittent urinary incontinence: independently uses urinal waking hours.
