Sr. Cost Accountant

Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Senior Cost Accountant in Erie, Colorado. This role involves executing advanced cost accounting functions within the telecom industry and will require the use of various ERP Solutions. Responsibilities: Utilize your skills in Cost Accounting and Budget Processes to manage the allocation of costs and establish budgets. Leverage your knowledge of CapEx to manage capital expenditures and ensure they are within the set budget. Use Hyperion Technologies and other ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning tools to streamline and automate financial management processes. Handle Accounting Functions by ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and maintained. Implement your understanding of DCAA regulations to ensure compliance in all accounting procedures. Utilize 'About Time' software to manage and track project hours for accurate costing. Contribute to the continuous improvement of ERP Solutions, ensuring they meet our financial management needs. Use your expertise in Costing to provide accurate estimates of project costs. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, such as Cost Accounting or Financial Analysis Proficiency in using accounting software and platforms like ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions Knowledge and experience with CapEx, DCAA, Hyperion Technologies, and About Time Strong understanding of accounting functions and cost accounting principles Familiarity with budget processes and costing methodologies Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA or CMA certification is a plus, but not required Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite applications.
