Wabtec US Rail, Inc. seeks Project Management Specialist Cost in Erie, PA.

Identify and execute maintenance cost reduction projects on electronics / controls components for Global Services Organization (GSO).

Work cross functionally with sourcing, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and engineering functions, to identify, implement, and track projects that contribute to life cycle cost savings.

Develop and maintain processes and toolsets to analyze material cost and understand trends that can impact total cost of repair on multiple electronic components.

Collect data at the repair points to better understand repair process and identify cost out initiatives.

Work with data analytics team to identify projects that can lead to significant savings in life cycle cost.

Identify productivity initiatives on mechanical and controls components based on technical expertise of locomotive systems and their operations.

Support projects through the scoping, active, and cut-in phases to successful project implementation.

Support the harvesting of re-usable material from USM / Mods programs.

Support a cross-functional team from Services, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Risk, and external suppliers to meet all project milestones including tollgates, design reviews, and PPAP ahead of schedule.

Drive synergies initiatives across broader business portfolio to optimize cost.

Facilitate communication within the team, as needed, to achieve milestones and professionally manage communications with internal / external project stakeholders.

Identify risks to project execution, schedule, or valuation and facilitate the mitigation of those risks with the appropriate team.

Continually develop a network of resources in support of project execution.

Identify opportunities to expand the project in ways that bring value to our customers and satisfy our profitability requirements.

Manage the project budget and timeline to ensure the resources are available to complete the

project within budget and on time to meet customer obligations.

Represent Wabtec during all customer and supplier interactions.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, plus 3 years of experienceRequired experience must include all of the following: 2 years of experience developing database queries in MS Access, Denoto, or Dataiku. 2 years of experience drafting technical process documentation. 2 years' experience with Oracle Enterprises ERP 1 year of experience developing Power BI Dashboards any amount of experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and bills of material. any amount of experience developing process flows and apply LEAN concepts.Telecommuting permitted.Must also have authority to work permanently in the U.S. Applicants who are interested in this position may apply at www.jobpostingtoday.com, reference #87858 for consideration.Qualified candidates may apply by clicking, "Apply Now".
