Job Description
Perform mechanical system design in support of custom automated assembly, inspection, fixturing and robotic systems.
Coordinate with suppliers to manage system builds and ensure timelines and performance criteria are met
Provide general engineering and 3D modeling support to the machine build shops (internal or external) as required
Oversee the set-up and functioning / maintenance of designed automated equipment and machinery
Research new equipment / technologies and recommend alternative engineering solutions to management to meet business needs
Develop clear understanding of new automated equipment intended function, communicate/train technicians on set-ups and maintenance
Participate in final system functional performance testing
Key Skills
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports
Ability to work productively and maintain project timelines with minimal supervision
Mechanical knowledge/aptitude
Proficient with Solidworks or Creo Pro E
Basic knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic operation
Ability to problem solve
Handle stress and adapt based on production needs
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
