Plastic Linings Installing Technician

Job Type: Full-timeDescription: Plastic Linings Installing TechnicianReports to: Production ManagerNon-Exempt PositionJob Location: Emmaus, PAJob Summary:Install and weld high-end fluoropolymer sheets linings to steel vessels for corrosion protection while maintaining asafety culture, adhering and following the company's principal guidelines.Essentials Functions:? Operate a plastic welding gun, use power tools, and hand tools, operate various shop machines.? Install plastic sheets.? Weld high-end plastic sheets linings into steel vessels.? Inspect completed welds to determine structural accuracy.? Cut sheets or material to be joined to form smooth edges using knife or other tools.? Die grinder and sanding equipment.? Trowel epoxy into steel to adhesively bond the sheet.? Usage hot-air guns occasionally to perform job specifications.? Maintain specifications while performing welding processes; take measurements; detect malfunctions.troubleshoot processes; adjust and reset welding equipment; sharpen and replace worn tools; adhere.to quality assurance procedures and processes.? Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.? In any environment, always follow safety standards and wear proper protective gear.? Perform other tasks or responsibilities as instructed by supervisor.Education/Experience Preferred:? High School Education? Valid Driver's license? Experience in welding plastic, plumbing, carpentry, cabinetry, mechanical or other related job requiring.mechanical is preferred.? Analytical skills to lay out and execute a precision job from conception to completion.? Ability to read drawings and blueprints is preferred.? Ability to use basic measuring, cutting and hand tools.? Must be able to travel and work overtime when required.Physical Requirements:? Work in confined spaces.? Occasional repetitive movement of fingers, hands, and wrist.? Must be able to bend, kneel, stand and sit various times throughout the time.? Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.? Must be able to use respiratory protection when required.
