At Westinghouse, we recognize that our employees are our most valuable asset and we seek to identify, attract and recruit the most qualified talent while recognizing and encouraging the value of diversity in the global workplace.The Senior Director, Category Management will lead the Westinghouse category management organization, driving cost effective and efficient supply chain strategies designed to meet current and future business requirement for existing business unit operations, major capital projects, and advanced reactors builds including APP1000, AP300, and eVinci micro reactors with a total expected spend in excess of $5B spend. Responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership to development and manage the relationship with strategic suppliers. Lead the development and implementation of global strategic sourcing initiatives for nuclear reactor builds including localization of key vendors to align with national political considerations. Ensure supply chain resiliency, focusing on single and sole source suppliers and geopolitical risk, continuity of supply, contingency, and flexibility to minimize the potential for disruptions in business operations.Your Day to Day:

Create an effective category management organization leading supply chain category strategies across all sectors of Westinghouse in support of +$5B of overall spend.

Lead the development and implementation of strategic sourcing plans across direct and indirect spend categories to drive cost savings, efficiency, resiliency, and value creation.

Through collaboration with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, ensure the development and effective implementation of category management strategies for spend categories; analyzing market trends and supplier capabilities to optimize category performance and achieve industry-leading cost and working capital results.

Develop expert level negotiation skills in the category management organization to maximize value for Westinghouse across spend categories and reduce risk.

Ensure effective relationships with suppliers, significantly increasing contract coverage and creating true partnerships through negotiating longer-term agreement while achieving favorable terms and conditions.

Ensure reliable supplier performance and high-quality service through supplier performance evaluations and improvement plans as needed while negotiating contracts and long-term agreements to achieve favorable terms and conditions.

Spearhead cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to drive value creation through innovative sourcing solutions and strategic partnerships, measuring effectiveness through cost savings reporting, performance metrics, and sourcing activities.

Develop, enhance, and ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations; identifying and implementing risk mitigation plans associated with sourcing and supplier management while enforcing ethical sourcing practices and standards.

Establish policies and procedures to standardize and publish strategic sourcing and category management initiatives, utilizing data analytics to track performance, identify trends, and prepare reports on sourcing and category metrics, supplier performance, and cost savings.

Lead procurement cost initiatives efforts, ensuring efficiency and value, monitoring progress to category management initiatives, financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.

Guide effective implementation of contract strategies to drive efficiency, compliance, cost savings, and stronger vendor relationships while reducing risk to Westinghouse and ensuring the achievement of both short and long-term supplier performance objectives.

Lead, mentor, and manage the global team of category management professionals, fostering a culture of continuous impr vement, innovation, and best practices while setting clear performance goals and providing regular, objective feedback to team members.

Propagate a culture of performance through effective employee development and performance feedback designed to foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

Lead the Category Management organization to develop and implement effective supplier strategies to create value, drive continuous improvement, and ensure supply chain resilience using strategic sourcing and category management best practices.Who You Are:

Bachelor's degree in business or recognized equivalent required,Prefer bachelor's in engineering and / or MBA.

5+ year's related supply chain leadership experience with a focus on category management, preferred, 10-15 years typical experience

Experience in the nuclear power or highly regulated industry preferred.Why Westinghouse?
