With minimal guidance and supervision, performs a variety of experiments and operates laboratory equipment and instruments. The incumbent will be responsible for strict adherence to company safety policies and procedures.Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)

Conducts laboratory experiments and testing procedures under the direction of a technical supervisor. Accurately documents work and findings in lab notebooks.

Responsible for the installation and operation of laboratory scale equipment used to develop new and improved activated carbons for laboratory and field use.

Qualifications

Associate degree (A.A.), or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. (Chemistry or chemical engineering concentration OR equivalent experience)

0-2 years: Experience in operating lab instruments and equipment

0-2 years: Hands-on mechanical aptitude

0-2 years: Industrial R&D experience working in a lab

Experience with activated carbon is preferred
